This painting was created when the violent demonstrations took place in Catalonia in the summer of 2019. Barcelona was on fire, there was rioting, many people and even politicians were arrested and dragged to court. Some of these people are still in prison today. I experienced it and also talked about it with friends from Catalonia and other regions to understand the different points of view. That day was just one of many to come. The resistance continues. This picture will always remind me of that revolutionary day!
