This painting was created in 2020 in my studio in Begur. The COVID numbers decreased briefly in the summertime. Most people in Spain rediscovered and fully enjoyed life after the difficult months of quarantine. I did too. I collected the elements for this painting in front of my studio and the immediate surroundings. The beautiful light in summer has this enormous power that you feel and that permeates you. While working on this piece, I listened to, among other things, Jim Hall’s Concierto De Aranjuez, a classy improvisation!
